So I had planned on posting this earlier this week as a lesson I learned but it quickly became another lesson I learned. I will explain.
1. Do not attempt to use quick drying glue after you take your sleeping medication.
- Some times after I take my medication I get "inspired." Please help me. Lock up the supplies. If you decide to glue half asleep you will wake up with your thumb and index finger glued together. You have been warned.
2. When the wind is gusting outside over 30 mph and you weigh barely 'a buck o' five' DO NOT attempt to run. You will fall. And look like a tooth pick caught in the wind... And pretty darn silly when your butt hits the ground. No Explanation needed.
3. Under NO circumstances should you attempt to blog after you have taken your medication.
- Oh my. Thankfully I remembered the next morning that "Oh, No.. I didn't.. Did I?" It looked like alphabet soup towards the end. It was comical in the beginning but at the end.. made no sense.
I'm not a fan of all this medication. But hey it's good for a laugh some times and some valuable lessons right?

I cook... Just not often.. or Well
Disclaimer- No person or animal was harmed in the making of this dinner ... I cannot say the same for my poor oven mitt.
For Valentine's Day Steve and I decided to cook dinner for each other. Now, for those of you that know me, you are familiar with my burning water fiasco. Great. Long ago I did have a few successes with shrimp scampi so I thought I'd go with what I knew. We had some red potatoes left over too so I thought I'd make my good-ole garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was going according to plan; I had a rhythm.. shrimp in the broiler, watch the boiling potatoes, watch the boiling asparagus... got it. Ok. Time to take out the shrimp. I needed room to put the hot pan from the oven so I decided to move both the pots to the back burner. Now... By this point I have already mashed my potatoes and am on the home stretch. Just gotta remove the shrimp from the oven. I have banned Steve from the kitchen even though we agreed to cook for each other; I was determined to prove I could cook! Now... just had to actually do it... Ok. So I moved the pots to the back pulled the shrimp out put it on the plate arranged it all pretty... Oh my goodness, I did it! Wait... Whats that smell?? Aaack! Yeah...I did turn the burner off.. but... They were still very hot. My poor oven Mitt. Never saw it coming. Dinner was great though. We had Strawberry's and Cool Whip for Desert. Delicious.. Steve Enjoyed the cool Whip a little too much and of course Oreo became interested as soon as he heard the sound of the Cool whip can...
All in all... It was a wonderful Valentine's Day. We were going to go out of town but oh my... wouldn't you know it... our luck we got sick. So we stayed in. Steve surprised me with a Nintendo DS which I have wanted forever! LOVE it! Love my man!

8008 Typed in a calculator spells BOOB.
How often have we found ourselves needing to know the time and also needing to know the square of pi? Or having to add large numbers? Enter the calculator watch. Many of us remember this gem from our childhood. I remember it being banned from math classes for it's wonderful ability to gives us a leg up on tests. These days it simply hasn't been able to keep pace with today's current math curriculum but I still find myself longing for the good ole days of slyly clicking away beneath my desk checking the likes of 455*999. Tonight when I saw it on a recent episode of my favorite show, my those happy memories were reignited and I promptly picked up my laptop and began my search. I found many results including one that appeared promising.

But there was one product that caught my eye.
I'm pretty certain it is love at first site. These are keepers... Not necessarily practical but I can not seem to pull my eyes away. I must have both. One for practical purposes such as telling time and adding up spots on the ceiling or times I space out during the day... and one merely because it is awesome. It it is a necessary complement to my awesomeness. :)
These days the calculator watch no longer says "I live in my mom's basement." It's no longer for the geeks and pocket-protecting patrons. Oh no. The market has expanded. It's now in the Retro market. I'm there.

Kim-Sicle
So it finally decided to snow! And freeze... Many of you may have heard on the news about this huge ice storm that rolled through here. At Fort Campbell at least the ice storm that came through a few months ago was worse, but this one hit some of my coworkers up north pretty bad. But this time it snowed pretty good. Like I've said many times, I don't like the cold. But I don't mind it if I can run outside for a second, catch a few snowflakes on my tongue and run back in. In the morning it started out raining then everything it froze (hence the first picture). It got pretty bad caused the roads that had previously been wet from the rain were now huge sheets of ice. And then it snowed for a couple hours. Alot of people didn't have to come in to work but I got labeled as essential personnel so had to come in and stay. I got to watch to snow tho!
