Cat + Couch = Squished Kittie
As bad as it sounds I swear it was not on purpose. So lately I've been making cards and doing scrapbooking. The other day I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a couple of spools of ribbon. Oreo made quick work of this ribbon and while we were at work one day played with it and hid it somewhere. So I went and bought some more. Coming home tonight I see again the bag pulled off the table, paper on the floor and the ribbon nowhere to be found. So I figure maybe he's knocked it under the couch. Steve is nice enough to lift up the couch so I can look under there. Success! Some of the ribbon I just bought and some from a while ago! Booger. And about 4 Chapsticks... and pens... little turd. So I scoot out from under the couch as Steve slowly lowers it... just then I realize that while under there I saw Oreo batting around some of his toys that had ended up under there. Just as the couch hit the floor I ask Steve "where's Oreo?", and instantly see a tail twitching angrily from under the couch... oh man. Steve immediately lifts it back up and we see Oreo crouching down looking confused still attempting to get his toys. Thankfully all was well... on the underside of the couch it's like a big air pocket so I don't think any long term harm was done... although he did run into the wall trying to catch his ball...?

That somewhat happened to one of the cats my family had for awhile...Amy thought he/she was stuck and tried to help...it didn't and that cat lived but didn't fair as well as it sounds like Oreo did.
Oh yeah... Oreo is just fine. I didn't know it but there is like an air pocket under there so all was well... he just looked mad.
Our cat knows how to get under our couch on her own, and does so on a regular basis. It is pretty comical when our ankles and heels become targets of her batting from underneath the couch!!! Glad you found your missing items, and that Oreo survived his adventure!
I know it was done on purpose...You can't fool me!
