More Delightful Randomness

So Steve and I were watching the movie Alien today which started inevitable conversations... first topic: Self Destruct Options. You see this offered on so many movies but not in real life. So next time I buy a new car I plan on asking the sales guy if they offer a self destruct option. I can imagine why this may be a bad idea initially (think numerous cars exploding on the highway). But I have an answer: Aliens. The self destruct option will be extremely useful in the case of an unfriendly alien attack on the family minivan. Think about it. This may catch on. Also this can lead to other uses : Carnies, backseat drivers, cousins that you're not particularly attached to... For a not so definitive choice the ejection seat is always an option; albeit played out.

Second thought posed of the night came from the kitty. The cat Jones is awesome. That cat knew all. I mean if that one guy paid attention he may have been in a better place. Also, in the end kitty was on display for the Alien like a Kitty buffet under glass. But no dice; not impressed. Key to survival in space? Cat. That and guns. Mainly Guns.

I think we need to find a hobby that catches and holds our attention... amateur time travel is always an option.

Things you may or may not know....

1. I love Robot Chicken
2. There is nothing better than a good fart ... especially when you have others locked in the car with you.
3. When I was a kid I loved playing with He-man dolls.. but hated He-man. My favorite charactor was Skeletor. He has style.

Lethargic Cream Filled Cookie

Also Known as Lazy Oreo. He is gradually becoming a lazy Double-stuffed Oreo. Like I said before I am adamantly keeping the kitty talk to a minimum as I do not want to appear like a crazy cat lady. But, as I currently only own one cat that I do not dress up, talk to or take to kitty shows, I think merely mentioning his little antics is reasonable. So recently as many of you know, Steve and I returned from a trip to visit my family in Arizona. Oh, my. Apparently he was quite the cantankerous kittie while we were gone and proceeded to open all of my friends' presents and try to disassembel their tree. Nice. When we got home he let us know how upset he was. At first he was nice and purrlicious (I think to see if we would leave again). Then he was back to his old antics. First as soon as I started to unpack my suitcase he was in it claiming it as his own. He attacked us as we would walk past.

Then later on, we went shopping and as usual used the reusable bags. Oh my. Steve put one in the corner of the kitchen when he was done unloading it. Next thing we knew, Oreo was inside, dragging to the center of the kitchen making it his very own kittie cave.

Oh, and attacking us as we walked past. At least he keeps us entertained. What can I say.. the little demon is growing on me... :)

Didn't Your Mom Ever Warn You About Having An Open Flame?

So.. As the title suggests.. tonight was Steve's night. It had started innocently enough.. we had recently returned home after running errands and he was about to settle in to play his new video game. Well he recently had a sour tummy an needlessly to say I had asked him to light a candle and it happened to be those trio-candle-thingies. Well when Steve goes to play his game he sets up my flatscreen on the table so I can still watch TV on the the bigger tv. He had bent over to grab his PS3 when he says he smelled something funny... he then said he heard that sound of hair burning and then his head getting kinda warm..Poor honey... Then when he went to sit down in his chair he somehow managed to kick himself in his jibblets. Not his night.

I didn't Sign Up for this....

Well I guess I did... so tonight the forecast is for 3 degrees. Oh My Goodness. I am not a fan of cold. I don't hide this fact. Today the temperature outside was 18 degrees. My goodness. Being a Native of the WARM state of Arizona this is an unknown frigid time for me. Ugh. You will never see a faster dash than a cold Kim from the car to the front door of the hospital. I reiterate. 3 DEGREES. Oh and it feels like -1! Inhumane. I digress... I am officially refusing to leave my house tomorrow. :)

Onesies, Mittens and other Delightful Dorkiness

It is a well known fact that when I become bored I find interesting things on the internet. Newest fantastic find? Onesies. Not the baby kind. Onesies for adults. These musings started one night after Steve curled up in a cute ball on the couch and the inevitable blanket war ensued between the toes, chin and a much to short blanket.. and then the horror... what happens when you have to visit the powder room? Got ya covered there too! Life is complete! Almost...

The search continued... My face and hands were still cold and lonely... in comes the adorably wonderful Smitten Mittens! And for those men on your list who may not have gotten all they wanted on Christmas this last one is sure to take the cake.

The Bearded Ski Mask is way past it's time and is on my Christmas list! This one needs no explanation. Simply follow the line and prepare to giggle. Maybe it's time I crack open my homework book! Hahaha

Terror and a Basketball-Sized Chocolate Mudbaby

1. Mudbaby

A humongous Piece of Sh**. Always look before you percolate some butt coffee, for this hidden danger could be lurking in the next stall... A dimension not only of sight and smell but of grime. There is a sign post up ahead: Next Stall- The Turd Burglar Zone.
I truly almost peed my pants. This is what Steve and I do when we are bored.

Welcome to 2009!

Happy New Year! Okay so my postings are coming in groups and this is the last one today I swear. Steve and I decided for New Years to have a good Ole' Low Key Redneck New Years! Hence the Picture:
We rang in the New Year together with some bubbly, Pizza, firecrackers and some poppers. It was nice to lay low together this year. Even Oreo partook of the festivities! No worries... It's just water. He was still plenty interested though!

And of course it was followed by the traditional New Years toast and Kiss! It was super cold out so (in the 'teens!) so we were wearing beanies. From house to yours Happy New Years!

9 Ways to Keep Busy in 09

In addition to the infamous year end review it's time for the favored resolutions. I found it too hard to narrow down to 1 so I decided in honor of the year 09 the make it a rounded out 9. So, with no further adieu:

1. Stop Procrastinating.. starting tomorrow. Just kidding. I really need to work on this one.

2. Organize. Organize. Organize.

3. Start dating more. Think Steve will mind? Once again joke. Really want to make our minimum monthly dates a priority again.

4. Get going on all my scrapbooking. This one should not be hard at all. I got lots of goodies for Christmas and I'm super excited to get started.

5. Stay in touch with old friends and family. This one is substantially significant as friends and family are super important.

6. Do more outdoorsy stuff... hiking, camping, backpacking etc. All the stuff I love to do yet PROCRASTINATE and always miss the opportunity (See the trend?)

7. Get all my finances in order and pay off few credit cards. This one is definitely do-able. Not a fan of the plastic. Planning on buying a new car too!

8. Read more. And not just my homework... not to say homework isn't important (number 1 will take care of that) but there are sooo many books out there!

9. Have more me time!

SOOOO.... Now Tag your it!!! Especially Jennie!
